THE ORIGIN AND HISTORY OF FIRE SERVICE ORGANISATION IN DENBIGH, D. Wheway Davies, OBE, FIFireE
-
The 1927 built Fire Station, in Crown Lane, being inadequate to house the post-war appliances, the Service moved in 1954, to the Market Hall fronting on Crown Square. This premises served effectively as the local Fire Station until 1970, when the present modern Fire Station, in Smithfield Road, was commissioned.
